This week the boys have learnt about the Christmas story and Advent. They sequenced the Christmas story and learnt about the birth of Jesus.
During phonics the boys have been excited to learn Digraphs (two letters that make one sound).
During Expressive Arts and Design we have been busy making Christmas arts and crafts. The boys are excited to take them home at the end of term:
During Mathematics we have been learning about ‘more’ and ‘less’:
For the maths homework activity, could you please use your laminated number cards and find one more or one less than the numbers you choose. To extend this further you can find 2 more, 2 less and so on.
Well done to RS for completing the weekly challenge by using their knife and fork to cut and eat their food:
The weekly challenge next week is ‘Put your hand up on the carpet’. This has been repeated from before, giving the boys another chance to complete the challenge.
As we prepare for Christmas we will not be having any Starboys next week. Starboys will start again after Christmas.

Reiss really enjoys playing with numbers; we chose random numbers between 1 and 50 and worked out 1 more and 1 less. Then we tried 2 more and 2 less. Reiss gave the correct answer using both the number card, and without. We’ll keep building on the concept this week.
