During Understanding the World, the boys learnt about the life cycle of a chicken. The boys were able to identify the different parts of the life cycle and enjoyed ordering the life cycle pictures. Our lesson was brought to life as our cute chicks have hatched! The boys absolutely loved observing them.

During Literacy we listened to the story, ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’. The boys retold the story and their fantastic work is up on display in the classroom.

During Maths this week, we have learnt about patterns. We continued and created ABC, AAB and AABC patterns. To reinforce what we have learnt, below is a patterns game you can play at home.

A warm welcome back, we hope you all had a relaxing Easter holiday.

The boys have had a happy first two days back at school. We listened to each other when talking about our Easter holidays and we wrote our news in our news books.

We have started our new topic of ‘Growing’. The boys have been enjoying using the new Garden Centre role-play area:

In Phonics, we recapped the digraphs ‘ar’ and ‘er’. Can you write words with these digraphs? You can challenge yourself by writing a sentence with these words. Remember to include a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop.

During Maths, we have been recognising and creating repeated patterns. The boys created fantastic AB and ABC patterns.

Our lovely parents from RY and RG spoke to the boys about Greek Easter. The boys loved tapping one another’s eggs in order to try and not make their eggs crack.
