Autumn 1: week 3

We have had another thoroughly enjoyable week and the boys have become comfortable and familiar with their daily routine and environment. We look forward to our first week of full days next week.

We began our phonics sessions this week and introduced our cursive handwriting. We also practised correctly forming our first group of numbers. You will find in your son’s book bag their homework folder alongside their maths and literacy resources. Please practise these and keep them in your book bags everyday.

As discussed in our parent meeting we are learning the Jolly Phonics songs and actions to aid our learning. Please find a link below with the initial sets of letter sounds:

We now have a full class of Reception Oak boys and what a lovely class they are! We have enjoyed getting to know each other and becoming familiar with our new environment.
