Have a lovely summer!

What a year it’s been! We congratulate RY for a fantastic year. The boys have come so far and achieved so much this year.

The boys enjoyed our picnic on Wednesday.

We would like to thank you for all your support and for your thoughtful words and generous gifts you have given us, it is certainly overwhelming! We wish all of you health and happiness for the summer holidays. We look forward to seeing you all when you start Year 1.

Have a wonderful summer!

Love from,

Miss Yiacoulas, Mrs Aldridge and Miss Dowden

A Squash and a Squeeze

The boys performed brilliantly in their play ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’. They should be very proud of their fantastic performance! They sang, acted, and spoke confidently.

The boys enjoyed spending time with their Year 1 teachers during transition morning.

In Maths, we looked at halving numbers within 10.

For the Math’s activity this week, you can play this halving game.

During Welly Time, the boys enjoyed yoga outside.

The boys followed the author and illustrator Rod Biddulph, to create their own ‘Helen the Watermelon’ from the story, ‘Peanut Jones’.

A lovely parent from RY taught the boys dance for an end of year treat. They had a fabulous time, showing off their moves!

Please may I gently remind you to bring in a plastic bag for the boys in order to gather their Reception books.

For Show and Tell, please bring in a picture of your favourite mode of transport and share three facts with the class.

Doubling!

This week in Maths, the boys enjoyed doubling numbers. They understood the concept and challenged themselves by doubling numbers within 10 and then within 20.

For the Math’s activity this week, you can play this doubling game.

During Literacy, we recapped digraphs ie, ar and oi. We wrote sentences using these digraphs and tried our best to include adjectives!

The boys enjoyed Welly Time with Mrs Demetriou. They met Sidney the squirrel and created minibeast artwork with natural things in the environment. They later went on a minibeast hunt.

Our lovely parent from RY talked to the boys about the history of the Olympic games. The boys enjoyed learning new facts!

For Show and Tell, please bring in a picture of your favourite mode of transport and share three facts with the class.
