Have a wonderful summer!

What a year it’s been! We congratulate RS for a terrific year. The boys have come so far and achieved so much this year. Well done to everyone for navigating daily live lessons and home learning in the spring. We wish all of you health and happiness for the summer holidays. We look forward to seeing you all when you start year 1.

On their last day the boys enjoyed a cupcake movie party with dancing games and then an afternoon picnic:

A huge well done to the boys (and parents) for all you have achieved this year.Thank you very much for your thoughtful words and generous gifts and for being so supportive throughout the year.

Have a wonderful summer!

Love from

Mrs Starkey and Mrs Aldridge 🙂

Week 5

It is hard to believe that this week is the last full week of reception and the boys finish for the summer holidays next week! The boys have achieved so much this year.

Here are some of the things the boys got up to this week during their child initiated learning time:

Finding potatoes!

Finding potatoes

The boys have enjoyed drawing more Rob Biddulph drawings including ‘Furry Purry’ and ‘Penguin Blue’ to go alongside their Sonic and ‘Gregosaurus’ pictures:

Homework

Literacy

Could the boys please work on the next set of tricky words:

why

who

any

saw

put

Start with making sure they can read the words and then use the technique of ‘look, cover and write’ to practise spelling.

For an extra challenge, they can choose one of the above words and write it in a sentence.

Maths

This week we have been recapping addition and subtraction. Please click on the link below and select addition or subtraction and select the different levels.
