In relation to our theme of ‘House and Buildings’ we began our week by discussing what our dream houses will be. We had some imaginative ideas such as an ‘aeroplane home’ and a caravan.   The children wrote about the features of their dream houses.

We also started our week with a special assembly delivered by Mrs Mehta and Mr Shah to the whole of Pre Prep:

In Maths we continued looking at the teen numbers. We applied our knowledge of forming numbers 8 and 9 within 18 and 19. Furthermore, we practised counting using one to one correspondence and we looked at addition sums within 19.

In Phonics we started our next set of letter sounds. We practised our segmenting and blending to spell simple words. We also explored building some sentences, looking at capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Wednesday was a busy day as we celebrated Diwali, Remembrance day and Aarav’s Birthday. It was noted just how beautifully reception sat during the Remembrance service with the whole school during a time of silence and reflection.
